New Perimeter draws on the skills and talents of DLA Piper lawyers
located in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
I was most inspired by the motivation from other participants at DLA Piper, at all different levels, to contribute to these projects.
We teach, but we also learn, which is the wonder of teaching.
Engaging in a variety of pro bono projects strengthens and diversifies the skills of a lawyer.
Sharing a little bit about my professional experience and knowledge with current and future practitioners who may effect such development in the future was inspiring and made this project worthwhile. I hope one day I will read in the newspaper or a book about the positive impact of special economic zones, led by these students, in Africa in the 2020s!
As always, it was a wonderful experience, requiring us to teach “outside the box”!
The project and the choice of courses is truly enrichening and eye-opening, and as the adage goes, a mind stretched never returns.
