About our work

New Perimeter designed and implemented innovative, simulation-based workshops for magistrate judges and prosecutors on criminal trial skills. The assistance provided by New Perimeter was one component of the multi-year Justice Sector Modernization Program reform initiative started by the government in 2006.

Key deliverables

  • Developed and delivered trainings on criminal trial skills for magistrate judges and prosecutors as part of the Government of Guyana’s Justice Sector Modernization project
  • Researched and drafted two comprehensive desk reference manuals for magistrate judges and prosecutors

Key facts

  • More than 40 police prosecutors, prosecutors and senior investigators participated in the training, and all of the country’s magistrates participated.
  • New Perimeter sent more than a dozen lawyers to Georgetown, Guyana to deliver the training.
