our mission
In an unprecedented move by one of the world's leading law firms, DLA Piper LLP has created New Perimeter, a new non-profit affiliate. Through New Perimeter, lawyers from the firm's offices throughout the globe will provide legal support for projects of global concern, including health care, hunger, housing, economic development, law reform and human rights.
DLA Piper has donated 13,000 pro bono hours to the project. New Perimeter will give DLA Piper lawyers the opportunity to devote 500 to 1,000 hours, and in some cases work full-time, on projects such as drafting new judicial laws in Kosovo, restructuring a micro-lending project, developing a worldwide food bank system and creating a human rights center in Southern Africa. The mission of New Perimeter is to provide DLA Piper with a more strategic approach to pro bono work, and to bring our lawyers' expertise to bear on some of the world's most pressing problems.
