UNDP News - Myanmar National Inaugural Mock Trial Event a Success

A collaboration between DLA Piper/New Perimeter, Bridges Across Borders Southeast Asia Community Legal Education Initiative (BABSEA CLE), law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) meant that more than 40 law students from Myanmar participated in the country’s first inaugural National Mock Trial event. The event was part of a larger program developed with the Myanmar’s Ministry of Education to provide practical guidance for all 18 university law departments across Myanmar to develop and implement accredited continuous learning education (CLE) programs and apply CLE student-centered, reflective practice and interactive teaching methods.
