Stanford Social Innovation Review - Pro Bono Goes Global

Sara Andrews (Boston) and Lisa Dewey (Washington, DC) contribute to the Stanford Social Innovation Review’s Winter 2016 issue with the Viewpoint article, “Pro Bono Goes Global.” The article discusses the need for pro bono legal services in under-served regions and the position that global law firms are in to expand the scope of pro bono work around the world. The firm's global pro bono programs through New Perimeter, DLA Piper's nonprofit affiliate, are highlighted; including legal education programs in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Southeast Asia and projects in Namibia and Kosovo that strengthen legal institutions and advance the rule of law.
